Our Mission
Bull City Anxiety & OCD Treatment Center is driven to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to all individuals affected by OCD, Anxiety, and OC-Spectrum Disorders. Our clinical practice is informed by research, ensuring that clients always receive high-quality, effective treatment. We welcome and treat all individuals, regardless, of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, nationality, or sexual orientation.
In 2014, Ben Eckstein started Bull City Anxiety — a small, specialty practice in Durham, North Carolina. The practice was quickly full, reflecting a great need for effective treatment in the Triangle area. The OCD community has historically been under-served, suffering from misdiagnosis and insufficient resources. To address this need, Ben made it a priority to establish the Bull City Anxiety Training Series, offering clinical training and consultation to clinicians in the community in an effort to disseminate evidence-based treatment and bridge the gap in supply/demand for individuals with OCD in North Carolina.
While the Training Series was a great start, in 2022 Ben sought to expand the practice, bringing on additional clinicians in order to deliver evidence-based treatment to more members of our community. We were rebranded Bull City Anxiety & OCD Treatment Center.
Our goal remains the same — to ensure that individuals struggling with OCD, Anxiety, and OC-Spectrum Disorders can receive effective, evidence-based care in a compassionate, welcoming, and professional setting.
We strive to create a culture of excellence, encouraging our clinicians to prioritize education, training, and community involvement. While our clinical work with clients remains front and center, we also strive to give back to the community by offering workshops, speaking engagements, and participating in local events.
