Ben Eckstein, LCSW
Ben Eckstein, LCSW is a therapist in Durham, North Carolina, specializing in the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and anxiety disorders
Ben studied psychology at the University of Vermont and received his Master of Social Work (MSW) from New York University. Ben has also completed post-graduate trainings, including a certificate program in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) at Boston University and the Behavioral Therapy Training Institute conducted by the International OCD Foundation. He has worked in a variety of settings, including inpatient psychiatry, residential treatment, and outpatient clinics. Prior to opening his practice, Ben worked as a therapist at McLean Hospital’s OCD Institute, receiving training in Exposure and Response Prevention and developing a specialty in the treatment of OCD.
Ben moved to Durham and opened a private practice, Bull City Anxiety, in 2014. He treats adults suffering from OCD and anxiety. Ben is a board member of OCD North Carolina, the NC affiliate of the International OCD Foundation. He is a father of four and enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the outdoors of North Carolina.
